Dr. Ken Alford, Senior Pastor
Dr. Ken Alford came to serve as the Senior Pastor at Crossroads in May of 2005. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Dr. Alford is graduate of Troy State University. He received both the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He came to Crossroads after serving as a Senior Pastor of three different churches in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida over a period of 21 years. While in Florida, Dr. Alford served terms as President of the Florida Pastors’ Conference, President of the Florida Baptist Convention, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Dr. Ken, as he is affectionately known, is married to the former Cynthia Johnson of Mobile, Alabama. They have two children, Elizabeth and Andrew.

Rev. Rick Parker, Education/Administration Pastor
Rick Parker came to serve as the Education and Administration Pastor at Crossroads in January of 2007. A native of Decatur, Alabama, Rick is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He received his Master of Arts degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He came to Crossroads after serving in a number of staff roles over a period of 28 years in five different churches in Alabama, Texas, Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia. Rick’s varied background includes service as a Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, Minister of Single Adults, and Minister of Youth and Recreation. He is married to the former Cindy Wilkerson of Norman, Oklahoma. They have a college-aged son, Andrew, and a college-aged daughter, Hannah, and an elementary school daughter, Shay.

Rev. Dee Bondurant, Music and Worship Pastor
Dee Bondurant came to serve as the Music and Worship Pastor at Crossroads in July of 2007. He served as the Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church of Moody, Alabama, for five and a half years before coming to Valdosta. He had also previously served as a Minister of Music at three other different churches in Louisiana and Mississippi. A native of Flomaton, Alabama, Dee attended Auburn University and received his Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in music and voice from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and completed one year of course work in the Master of Church Music program there. He is married to the former Michele Dickey of Montgomery, Alabama. They have a high school-aged son, Chandler, a middle school-aged son, Coleman, and a preschool daughter, Grace.

Rev. Ross Cook, Youth/College Pastor

Ross Cook came to serve as the Youth and College Pastor at Crossroads in September of 2006. He had served as a Youth Ministry Associate for two years at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, the church that produced the popular Christian film, Facing the Giants. Ross had served as a Youth Intern at Sherwood while in college. He also served for four years as the Youth Minister at Liberty Baptist Church in Albany and for one year as the Program Associate and Youth Outreach Worker for World Vision in Albany. A native of Albany, Ross received the Associate of General Studies degree from Darton College there. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Georgia Southwestern and State University in Americus, Georgia. He is married to the former Wendy Bledsoe of Tifton, Georgia. They are the parents of an elementary school-aged daughter Kylie, a preschool daughter Kolbie, and infant daughter Kate.

Rev. Steven Bonham, Children's Pastor
Steven Bonham came to serve as the Children's Pastor in July 2010. He served as Preteen Associate at Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, for three and a half years before coming to Valdosta. He had also previously served as Middle School Intern at Johnson Ferry Baptist in Marietta, Georgia. Steven is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham. He received his Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is newly married to the former Carrie Lovelady of Hartselle, Alabama.

Rev. Charlie Scarbrough, Senior Adults Pastor
Charlie Scarbrough joined the Crossroads staff team as our Senior Adults Pastor in October of 2005. A native of Sopchoppy, Florida, Charlie is a fifty-year resident of Valdosta, where he worked in the appliance business for 45 years. Charlie earned his Associate of Divinity degree from Brewton Parker College, headquartered in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. He served as the Pastor of Morven Baptist Church for ten years and as the Interim Pastor of Westside Baptist Church in Adel and Barney Baptist Church after leaving Morven. Charlie presently serves as a Chaplain with Grace Hospice and is on call as a Chaplain with South Georgia Medical Center. He also preaches every Sunday morning at Langdale Place, an assisted living facility for senior adults in Valdosta. Charlie has one grown daughter, Cheryl, a son-in-law, David, and two granddaughters, Logan and Ellie.
